Mozzarella di Bufala PDO: the new promotion plan is underway in France

The Consortium for the Protection of Buffalo Mozzarella Campana DOP strengthens promotional activities in Francewhich represents the first market forexport of Bufala DOP. From 7 to 9 June the Consortium, in collaboration with theICE agencywill be the protagonist at the “Salon du Fromage et des Produits Laitiers” (Hall 7.1, stand E010), which takes place in the “Paris Expo Porte de Versailles” exhibition center and represents one of the most prestigious international events dedicated to the dairy world and a point of reference for producers, distributors, buyers and professionals in the sector from all over the world.

As part of the event, a round table entitled: “Les fromages italiens: entre cuisine, traditions et transmission” is scheduled for Monday 8 June, at 1.15 pm. The meeting will focus on the gestures and know-how of the Italian dairy tradition and for the occasion a guided tasting of DOP Campania buffalo mozzarella will be held for a selected audience of stakeholders.

France, first export market

In 2025 exports of DOP Campania buffalo mozzarella reached 36% and the France absorbed 33.6%that is, one PDO mozzarella out of three, which has crossed the borders of Italy, has ended up on the tables of the French, who thus confirm themselves as the first mozzarella-lovers. “Our presence once again in Paris confirms our commitment to valorising Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop on foreign markets and in particular to promoting this excellence of Made in Italy agri-food in a country that boasts a great dairy tradition and shows that it increasingly appreciates the quality of our product”, comments the president of the Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop, Domenico Raimondo.

Not just fairs. Participation in the “Cheese fair“is supported by a communication campaign in the Parisian metro and a billboard campaign along the streets leading to the Rungis market, the largest wholesale fresh produce market in the world. The objective is to communicate the territory of origin of the Bufala PDO, through a transport network that covers all the main French urban areas, aiming at a young, urban target audience made up of daily commuters.

Furthermore, the new commercial created by the Protection Consortium starring the Neapolitan actress Serena Autieri will also be broadcast in France, through planning that focuses on connected TV. The campaign was created with the contribution of the Campania Region, Rural Development Complement 2023-2027.

And in autumn the Consortium is ready to return to France, on the occasion of Sial, one of the most important world trade fairs in the sector, scheduled in Paris from 17 to 21 October.
