Anti-violence proposes the temporary closure of El Sadar and Coliseum

The State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports has proposed the temporary closure of the stadiums of Club Atlético Osasuna and Getafe CF due to the commission of infractions on the last day of LaLiga EA Sports, played on May 23.

This body requests the closure of El Sadar for two months and a fine of 200,000 euros for allowing the entrance to the training open to the public on May 22 and allowing a dozen flares to be lit by its fans in the stands of El Sadar, as well as the display of abundant symbols of the ultra group Indar Gorri.

Furthermore, the players themselves approached the southern sector of the stands, donned the flags and scarves of this radical group and supported their chants, events that the Commission considers a “very serious” infraction, according to the 2007 Law against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport.

“The club has been sanctioned on more than fifty occasions in recent seasons by the Sports Disciplinary Committee for intolerant chants emitted from that same South Lower Stand, where Indar Gorri fans are usually located,” Antiviolencia recalled in the press release.

FIELD INVASION IN GETAFE

On the other hand, the Commission has proposed a fine of 10,000 euros and the closure of the Getafe CF Coliseum for a month due to the massive invasion of the field in the last LaLiga EA Sports match by the Azulona fans, who celebrated the qualification of the local team for the next edition of the Conference League.

The avalanche of followers began at the south end and spread in a few seconds to all sectors of the field. “From a security point of view, this situation generates objective risks that do not

disappear due to the fact that the motivation of the participants is festive,” the commission indicated.

On the other hand, the Commission has proposed a fine of 120,000 euros for Real Sociedad for selling tickets for the Copa del Rey final to two fans who are prohibited from accessing sports venues. These two fans were on the list of Real Sociedad followers who traveled to Seville to watch the match, accessing the stadium with a digital ticket with their name provided by the San Sebastian club.

According to the report prepared by the National Sports Office (OND) of the National Police, both were members of the radical group RSF Firm and were identified inside the Cartuja Stadium. The Commission proposes fines of 60,001 euros for them for a very serious infraction and a ban on entry to sports venues for a period of five years.

Likewise, the Commission requests a fine of 20,000 euros for Cádiz CF for the massive launch of toilet paper rolls

from the stands of the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium in the match against Deportivo de La Coruña on May 8.

These rolls were distributed by the club itself and accumulated as a highly flammable fuel in various parts of the field, with the obvious risk for the fans. In fact, in the sector occupied by the Yellow Brigades, three smoke canisters were activated.

The Commission proposes a sanction for the club for these events and a fine of 4,000 euros for the fan responsible for lighting the yellow and blue smoke canisters. The cameras captured the citizen hiding behind a child to activate the devices and then leaving a few meters away.

Furthermore, the National Police has provided clear images of how this fan, a prominent member of the Yellow Brigades, got on the Cádiz bus, stopped before reaching the stadium, and hugged one of the captains.
