Brazilian Raphael Clauss will whistle the Spain-Saudi Arabia match

The Brazilian referee Raphael Claus will be in charge of directing the duel between the Spanish and Saudi Arabian teams, corresponding to the second day of Group H of the World Cup between the United States, Mexico and Canada and which will be played at 6:00 p.m. at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, as confirmed by FIFA this Thursday.

Claus, 46 years old and international since 2015, will be assisted on the wings by his compatriots Danilo Manis and Rodrigo Figuereido, while Colombians Andrés Rojas and Alexander Guzmán will serve as fourth referee and assistant reserve referee, respectively.

The Brazilian is facing his second World Cup after whistle four years ago in Qatar, where he led the matches between England and Iran (6-2) and between Canada and Morocco (1-2), while he also has experience in the 2019, 2021 and 2024 editions of the Copa América
