Bundesliga: Agreement reached: Weiser stays at Werder Bremen

Mitchell Weiser and Werder Bremen are continuing their collaboration. According to the Bundesliga club, both parties were able to agree on an extension of the contract, which expires on June 30th. According to media reports, the new working paper will be valid until 2027.

“For me, Mitch is almost like a new signing,” said coach Daniel Thioune. “We hope that he comes back in top shape after his injury. His footballing quality is beyond question and will be good for our team.”

Weiser missed last season due to a torn cruciate ligament. The 32-year-old is scheduled to start training again at the start of summer preparation, it was said.

“I can hardly wait to be back on the pitch and will do everything to ensure that we play beautiful and successful football. I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans again. I missed that a lot last year,” said the full-back, who has played 123 times for Bremen so far.
