Charity gala in Rome in support of the Franciscan friars of the Immaculate Conception in Benin

Simonetti’s commitment will materialize during the gala dinner. Eltiq’s new projects linked to university research will be illustrated, before proceeding with the formal donation of the entire proceeds of the evening to the Institute of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate. These funds will be entirely used to finance a delicate and crucial Charitable Mission in Benin. “The reflections contained in the volume ‘Ero Forestiero’ perfectly embody the values ​​of mutual aid that guide our daily action at Eltiq – explains administrator Biagio Simonetti – With this event we want to demonstrate that culture and institutional discussion can and must be transformed into tangible help. Supporting those who work on the front line in the most difficult areas of the planet is our way of giving concrete answers to a moral imperative from which no one can escape”.

The evening will have an international connotation, since Biagio Simonetti wanted to involve in the comparison, various international experiences and cases that deserve attention such as the one witnessed by Dr. Muharrem Salihu who is fighting in favor of the Albanian ethnic groups, present in the cities of Medveđa, Bujanovac and Presevo, who do not ask for privileges, but only the right to live, to work and not to disappear from the Albanian demographic map. “A theme sanctioned by international law norms which refer first of all to the so-called self-determination of a people to give themselves a political, legal, social and cultural structure within a considered territory, a principle sanctioned by the United Nations Charter and by the International Human Rights Covenants of 1976”, explains Simonetti.
