MPs also imitate Vikings in parliament: the whole of Norway is rowing through the World Cup

The synchronized arm movements have become a tradition among fans of the Norwegian national team thanks to social networks. It is a homage to the era of rowing Vikings, with whom the national team has already associated itself in its official team photo.

“We recognized early on that the history of the Vikings would accompany us anyway. That’s why we decided to make it our own and fill it with what we think really sets us apart,” said the President of the Norwegian Football Association, Lise Klaveness, explaining the decision to take a team photo in a Viking outfit. Now the MPs are also remembering this Viking story and sending a football motivational greeting.

After the second group game against Senegal, fans and team rowed together in the stadium to celebrate the victory. Rowing has even been performed in Times Square.

The only question that remains is: How far will the Norwegians row at this World Cup? The knockout round has already been reached, and the final group game against France is about winning the group.
