After the parliamentary elections, the situation in RA will stabilize. CIS General Secretary

Secretary General of the Cooperation of Independent States Sergey Lebedev expressed the opinion that the situation in the country will stabilize after the parliamentary elections in Armenia.

“Yes, I think there are prerequisites for that, because Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that they are not going to leave the Eurasian Economic Union at the moment. And there is no question of leaving the CIS at all, they continue to be part of our structure,” the official said.

After the Armenian parliamentary elections, Prime Minister Pashinyan has not yet been congratulated by the Russian president.

Instead, before and after the elections, in the background of demands for a quick orientation between the EAEU and the European Union, official Moscow banned the main Armenian agricultural products, from flowers to fruits and vegetables, from “Jermuk” to spirits and fish products, citing non-compliance with standards.

Lebedev, according to the TASS agency, noted that the authorized representative of Armenia also participated in the discussions of today’s session of the CIS Economic Council, and also signed documents.

“We hope that everything will be fine,” added the CIS General Secretary.
