Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the Vice President of Iran

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Vice President of Iran Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi in Armenia.

During the meeting, Grigoryan and Pourmohammadi discussed issues related to the modernization of the border checkpoint and increasing the border crossing capacity.

They also referred to the course of cooperation in transport, energy, trade and economic relations and other areas of mutual interest.

Mher Grigoryan, on behalf of the Government, reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to further develop friendly relations with Iran.

The Deputy Prime Minister of RA and the Vice President of Iran emphasized the importance of the activity of the intergovernmental commission and agreed to continue discussions in that format.

Yesterday, the Vice President of Iran met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

According to the Iranian semi-official ISNA, Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi is in Armenia to participate in the launch of the Kajaran tunnel project, which will be built by an Iranian company.
