IRGC says it carried out strikes on US military positions

The statement said the response followed a US airstrike on Iran that the IRGC described as a violation of the ceasefire and international agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

“According to Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the Islamic Republic of Iran is responsible for organizing the control of transit and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. However, the United States, inciting various parties, sought to violate this obligation, in connection with which an appropriate response was given and will continue to be the same. In the event of a repetition of the act of aggression, our response will be more extensive,” the statement adds.
