According to the report, the purpose of the Russian provocation is to escalate the tensions in the region and to test the reaction of the allied countries. It is also claimed that Moscow seeks to get Ukraine’s allies in the West to stop aid to Kiev. According to the estimates cited in the report, if it does come to fruition, the Russian provocation may take place within a few months.
