Palhinha was then Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel’s desired player in the summer of 2023 – but a move at that time fell through on the last day of the transfer period. A year later, the Munich team brought in the professional for a rumored 51 million euros.

Under the new coach Vincent Kompany, however, the Portuguese was only a supplementary player and was hardly used in the important Champions League games before he was loaned to London last summer. For the Spurs he had seven goals and three assists in 45 competitive games.
