Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and United States President Donald Trump agreed during a phone call on Friday to meet in the US in the near future, according to Netanyahu’s office.
Netanyahu also congratulated Trump on the 250th anniversary of US independence, emphasizing the close ties between the two countries.
The Israeli Prime Minister called the United States the guarantor of freedom in the world, according to the statement.
Relations between Netanyahu and Trump were strained during the war with Iran, and it seems that the two leaders are also at odds over how to proceed with the war in the region.
Netanyahu’s office did not give a date for the planned meeting.
