HDBank received awards for retail and SME solutions

HDBank was honored as Retail Bank of the Year and SME Bank of the Year for the 5th consecutive time at the Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2026.

The award ceremony was held in Singapore, July 2. The bank representative said that the award recognized HDBank’s outstanding loan growth rate, operational efficiency on digital channels and extensive network. In addition, the SME Bank of the Year category demonstrates its ability to provide digital financial solutions and cash flow management for the small and medium-sized business community in Vietnam.

Previously, on June 11, HDBank was also awarded the Best Supply Chain Finance Bank in Vietnam award by The Asian Banker – Best supply chain finance bank in Vietnam. The award has an independent and rigorous evaluation process, recognizing HDBank’s value chain financing model, currently connecting tens of thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises. Along with the Clos automatic credit granting system and comprehensive digitalization process, the bank shortens application processing time, optimizes cash flow and expands access to capital for businesses in the supply chain. The bank also promoted green financial solutions, including a mobilization of 100 million USD from International Finance Corporation (IFC), FMO and British International Investment (BII) to support the development of sustainable supply chains.

In the small and medium enterprise segment, HDBank was awarded the title of Best SME Bank Vietnam by the Global Banking & Finance Awards 2026 – Best SME Bank in Vietnam. The award is for units with the ability to provide flexible financial solutions, fully digitized customer identification and onboarding processes, quick approval models and many financial solutions designed according to the specifics of each industry.

According to the bank’s representative, being continuously honored by international organizations shows the results of HDBank’s investment in technology, data and digital transformation in the retail, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as supply chain financing segments. The unit aims to expand its position in core areas, from retail banking, SME to sustainable value chain financing.

By the end of the first quarter of 2026, the bank reached a total credit balance of VND 635,085 billion, growing by 8%, higher than the industry average (estimated at 3.18%), focusing on priority areas and the growth engines of the economy. Total capital mobilization during the period exceeded 880,000 billion VND, an increase of 5.9%; of which customer deposits exceeded VND 725,000 billion, increasing by 11.9%. Digital business strategy continues to create breakthroughs, with the number of transactions through digital channels recording a growth of 35% and transaction value increasing 106% over the same period.
