Disney Unveils First Trailer for Oasis Live ’25 Tour Documentary

Don’t Look Back in Anger, directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace will take fans of the British band behind the scenes of the Live ’25 tour. The film is scheduled to hit theaters this fall.

“It’s going to be chaos”. In a few seconds, the short trailer announces the color of the documentary dedicated to the British group Oasis. Produced by Disney, Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, Don’t Look Back in Anger, directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, is expected for a worldwide release next September.

Formed in Manchester in 1991, initially as The RainOasis brought together Liam Gallagher, Paul « Bonehead » Arthurs, Paul « Guigsy » McGuigan and Tony McCarroll, quickly joined by Noel Gallagher, Liam’s older brother.

The film will be screened in selected IMAX theaters and cinemas, before being offered for streaming on Disney+ later in the year, according to a press release. The project is led by BAFTA and Oscar nominee Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders et A Thousand Blows) and directed by the duo Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace.

Behind the scenes of the Live ’25 tour

With a trailer lasting less than a minute, the documentary promises unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the rock group. He will follow the sold-out Oasis reunion tour, titled Live ’25  . From rehearsals to backstage, including on stage, the film plays on the nostalgic vein. It will bring Noel and Liam Gallagher together in joint interviews for the first time in 25 years.

Started on July 4, 2025 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the tour ended on November 23 at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, marking the group’s big return to the stage after its stormy separation in 2009.

In a press release, the producer and screenwriter, Steven Knight, explains having wanted “ tell the story of the Gallagher brothers and the band, but also that of the fans whose music touched, and sometimes transformed, lives.” Before adding : “It’s a story about the power of music to bring people together across generations, cultures and borders, and to restore a form of hope in a world crossed by divisions.”

Musical biopics continue to inspire Hollywood and are experiencing a resurgence in popularity. The movie Michaeldedicated to Michael Jackson, became the most lucrative biopic in history. The Beatles will be the subject of a series of four films directed by Sam Mendes, expected in April 2028, each devoted to a member of the group.
