The price of electricity will remain low on Thursday

The average hourly price of exchange electricity for consumers (incl. VAT 25.5 percent) will remain at a low level on Thursday. At its cheapest, electricity costs 0.6 cents per kilowatt hour between 1 and 4 at night. The highest price of the day, 4.0 cents per kilowatt hour, will be seen in the evening at 8 p.m.

The hourly prices stated in the article are averages calculated from the four quarter-hour prices for each hour. The electricity exchange Nord Pool switched to 15-minute pricing from the beginning of October 2025.

The price levels seen now are common, as similar low prices of less than five cents occur about half of the time. The prices are mostly below the typical hourly price of around four cents.

The price of electricity was also low on Wednesday. During the afternoon and evening, the prices move between two and three cents, falling to just over a cent at night.
