An Israeli citizen, 39-year-old Dmitry Fialka, who lived in Ukraine in recent years, died in battles in the east of the country.
The death of Violet was reported by the football club “Dynamo” (Lviv), where Dmitry worked as a children’s coach.
The media, in particular, the Mako website, citing Dmitry’s relatives, report that Violet repatriated to Israel alone, served here in the Nahal brigade, and went through the Second Lebanese War. Then he worked as a coach for the Maccabi children’s football club in Beersheba, where his mother and sister now live.
A few years ago, according to Fialka’s friends, he left for Ukraine, where he met a girl. They got married, had children. According to media reports, Dmitry went to the front as a volunteer in the first days of the war.
Dmitry’s Israeli family was informed of his death last Saturday. It is reported that his mother and sister hope that Dmitry’s body will be delivered to Israel for burial, but it is not yet clear which of the warring parties currently has Violet’s body.
