Ban on Israeli airlines flying to UAE extended

The General Security Authority (Shin Bet) has notified Israeli airlines that it has extended its landing ban in the United Arab Emirates for two months until the end of October 2026.

The decision comes amid security tensions in the Middle East and fears of a possible escalation in relations with Iran. As a result of this move, scores of Israelis are expected to receive notices in the coming hours that their airline tickets have been cancelled.

It should be emphasized that the security restrictions imposed by the Shin Bet apply exclusively to Israeli companies and do not apply to foreign airlines.

Thus, FlyDubai will continue to operate 10 daily flights on the Tel Aviv-Dubai route as usual. Etihad will also continue to fly to Abu Dhabi unchanged as it is not affected by this guidance.
