Jordan reports interception of five Iranian ballistic missiles

According to the Jordanian military, the missiles were aimed at targets in the country. All of them were destroyed by air defense systems before reaching their goals.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for the attack. The IRGC claims that the target of the missile attack was a US airbase and a US Central Command command post in Jordan. There is no independent confirmation of the destruction of any objects.

Earlier, CENTCOM reported that Iran launched a surprise missile attack on US forces stationed in the Middle East, but all missiles fired were intercepted. The US military remains on high alert.
