Alejandro Sanz launches ‘Yo era poetry’, his new single in collaboration with the Mexican Eden Muñoz

The artist Alejandro Sanz This Friday, August 7, he published his new single titled ‘I was poetry’, a collaboration made with the Mexican singer-songwriter and producer Eden Muñoz.

Thus, this song, which Richi López produced, combines the Madrid artist’s usual lyrics with instrumental elements from the Mexican musical tradition, such as the accordion.

Additionally, it includes a contemporary adaptation of the well-known ‘Rhymes’ of the poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer.

To compose the lyrics and music, the artists came together in an improvised session at Sanz’s residence in Miami Beach, as explained by his representation office in a statement.

On the other hand, the audiovisual production of the song is filmed last June in Madrid under the direction of Gus Carballo, who turned the idea over with a minimalist aesthetic focused on the interpretation of both artists and the use of digital technology.

Muñoz has pointed out that the experience of working alongside the Spanish musician has meant “one of the most beautiful experiences” of his professional career, highlighting the value of “match, connect and share art”.

This release coincides with the end from Sanz’s Spanish tour and precedes its next tour of the American continent, which will take place in the months of October and November 2026.

In fact, it will stop at mexican cities such as Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey, in addition to confirmed dates in Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala.
