Finnish equity investors were interested in artificial intelligence and global diversification in August, according to the financial group Nordic from the published Investor Pulse report. The figures in the report are based on the bank’s own customer data.
Among the shares on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, it was the most net purchased Nokiawhose drastic mid-summer drop turned into a rise again in August. Among the funds, Nordea’s own world index and Maailma Enhanced funds were at the top of the net purchases. Among the ETFs, the most popular were iSharesin issued by the ETF following the S&P 500 index and the MSCI World ETF. Emerging markets were also of interest: the instrument investing in them came fifth on both lists.
Fixed income investing attracted considerable interest among 35-54 year olds: Nordea Korko was the most popular fund in this segment. It was also among the most popular among older people. It ranked fourth in the entire list of funds.
Those younger than this prefer global equity funds and responsible investing. On the other hand, people over the age of 65 prefer a global fund invested in dividend stocks more than others.
Men made 85 percent of stock market purchases. Purchases of fund shares were divided equally between men and women.
“The growing interest in investing is reflected in the strong demand for versatile diversified investment solutions. The most popular products in August were the products that invest in the world’s stock markets, which attract both beginners and more experienced investors thanks to their wide diversification,” commented Nordea’s vice president of personal customer business Tanja Eronen in the bulletin.
