Cernobbio, an audience survey promotes the Meloni government and rejects Trump’s foreign policy

Meloni government passes the test of the Cernobbio audience after almost four years of activity, while much more is being done negative the judgment on opposition parties and one comes clear rejection for the foreign policy of the administration Trump. This is what emerges from electronic survey conducted among over 200 entrepreneurs and managers on the occasion of the 52nd edition of Forum “The Scenario of Today and Tomorrow for Competitive Strategies”organized by TEHA Group – The European House Ambrosetti at Villa d’Este.

Invited to evaluate the executive’s performance on a scale of 1 to 9, over two thirds of companies (the 68.3% overall) express a positive opinion with scores between 6 and 9.

In detail, the most frequent rating is 7, chosen by 33.3% of respondents, followed by 8 (20.0%), the maximum score 9 (6.7%) and 6 (8.3%). The share of those who assign a slight insufficiency with a score of 5 stands at 10.0%, while the clearly negative evaluations (scores from 1 to 4) stop at 21.7% overall.

The opposition was rejected

The picture is radically reversed as far as i opposition partieswhose work was rejected by83.0% of those interviewedwith an increase of ten percentage points compared to the 73.0% recorded in 2025. What is especially worrying is the doubling of those who assign the minimum grade “1” (very negatively), which reaches 23.7% compared to 11.9% last year. The range of negative opinions is completed by ratings 2 (18.6%), 3 (25.4%) and 4 (15.3%). The rating 5 drops to 10.2%, while the overall positive opinions are halved, going from 13.6% in 2025 to the current one 6,8%.

Red light for Trump

During the second day of work at the Cernobbio Forum, participants were also asked to express their opinions on the choices of White House foreign policyregistering an almost unanimous rejection. Beyond the 90% of respondents (90.2% overall) gave an insufficient rating between 1 and 4. Specifically, a strong surge can be observed for the minimum score of “1”, chosen by 58.5% of the managers present, a share that has almost tripled compared to the 20.5% of last year’s survey.

The rest of the dissatisfaction area consists of score 2 at 17.1% (down from 23.1%), score 3 at 12.2%, and score 4 at 2.4%. The share of intermediate opinions (score 5) stands at 4.9%, while a marked contraction is recorded for the positive evaluations on American foreign policy, which fall overall to 4,8% compared to the 20.5% recorded in 2025, with votes 7 and 8 both stopping at a slim 2.4%.
