Former CEO of Green SM founded a startup to make electric motorbikes

After about 3 months of leaving Green SM, former CEO Nguyen Van Thanh founded a technology startup, including the field of manufacturing bicycles and electric motorbikes.

Aves Green Energy and Technology Joint Stock Company was established on September 9, with a charter capital of 30 billion VND, headquartered in Hanoi. According to this startup’s shareholder structure, former Green SM CEO Nguyen Van Thanh holds 85% of the shares.

On the evening of September 14, Mr. Thanh announced his role as founder and CEO of Aves. This is a startup focusing on research, development and production of clean energy products from bicycles, electric motorbikes, three-wheeled vehicles to renewable energy, and smart technology devices.

Aves aims to launch the product in mid-2027. This company was born in the context of electric motorbike consumption in Vietnam continuously increasing. In the first 7 months of this year, more than half a million electric motorbikes were sold in Vietnam, accounting for nearly 28% of the industry’s market share. This number also nearly doubled compared to the same period last year, according to statistics from Motorcycles Data (MD).

Thus, Mr. Thanh established a new company after about 3 months of leaving the leading ride-hailing company in the domestic market, Green SM. In June, he resigned from the role of CEO of Green SM for personal reasons, after more than 3 years in charge.
