Gaming beast: AOC has a new monitor with a 1000 Hz image

AGON by AOC presented AGON PRO AGP257FTa 24.5-inch Full HD monitor intended for competitive gaming. Riverč is about the first model from their offer with a native refresh rate of 1000 Hz, while overclocking can reach 1050 Hz. The monitor uses a Fast IPS panel based on oxide technology, and the resolution is 1920 × 1080 pixels. AOC claims a response time of at least 0.3ms GtG, while with MPRT it can reach 0.1ms. Motion Blur Reduction Plus (MBR+) is also used to reduce motion blur, and the monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC.

With a refresh rate of 1000 Hz, a new frame is displayed every 1 ms. This is primarily aimed at competitive games where high refresh rates and fast response times are more important than high resolution.

AGP257FT supports VESA DisplayHDR 400, and the backlight has local dimming in 20 zones. The panel covers 99 percent of the sRGB and 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, with a declared typical brightness of 450 nits.

AOC has also incorporated several features designed to reduce eye strain during long-term use. The monitor has hardware Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free backlighting and TÜV Rheinland certification for circular polarization technology.

The stand enables height adjustment up to 150 millimeters, tilt, rotation and pivoting. It also has markings that make it easier to return the screen to its previous position, while the quick release mechanism makes it easier to transport the monitor.

From the ports, two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 2.1 are available, along with an output for headphones. There is also a USB hub with three USB-A ports with a speed of up to 5 Gbps, one of which supports BC1.2 fast charging. The monitor also has PiP/PbP support, Light FX lighting and an integrated headphone hook.

The package also comes with a QuickSwitch keyboard for quick access to individual settings and gaming modes.

AGON PRO AGP257FT should arrive on the European market during the first quarter of 2027. The price for individual markets has not yet been announced.
