Google Cloud has announced the Security AI Workbench, a new security platform assisted by a artificial intelligence (AI) generative, with which customers can address the main challenges of cybersecurity.
at the base of Security AI Workbench is found the Sec-PaLM wide language model, specialized in security, which has been designed specifically for security applications, and incorporates security intelligence from Google, to provide visibility into threats in the environment.
Sec-PaLM enables generative AI in the new platform that Google Cloud has presented this Monday, within the framework of the RSA Conference 2023 cybersecurity fair, which is being held this week in San Francisco (United States).
The model also has Mandiant’s knowledge on vulnerabilities, ‘malware’, threat indicators and behavior profiles of malicious agents. and will allow integrate ‘plugins’ from different partners, that will serve to offer functionalities on threat intelligence, workflows and other critical aspects for security.
In this sense, Google Cloud has already confirmed that the first partner to use Security AI Workbench will be Accenture. Likewise, it has ensured that the new platform is based on Vertex AI, so that customers have professional tools to control your data; for example, data isolation, data protection, sovereignty, and regulatory compliance support.
The technology company has highlighted that the advances in AI that they have made allow “combining a threat intelligence of a very high level with analysis of specific incidents and new techniques AI-assisted detection and analysis, which help prevent future infections.
“While generative AI has recently come to the fore and sparked imaginations, Sec-PaLM is built on years of grassroots AI research from Google and DeepMind, coupled with the extensive experience of our teams. security”, indicated the General Manager and Vice President of Cloud Security at Google Cloud, Sunil Potti, in a press release.
Together with this platform, Google Cloud has announced that the services VirusTotal Code Insight y Mandiant Breach Analytics for Chronicle utilizarán Sec-PaLM. In addition, Assured open source software will use a broad language model to incorporate more open source software (OSS) packages into Google’s OSS vulnerability management solution.
On the other hand, Google Cloud has incorporated Sec-PaLM to two of his solutions: IA de Chronicle e IA de Security Command Center, to make security more understandable and improve its effectiveness with new features.
