Brussels Airlines has Belgian chairman again

Belgian Dieter Vranckx has been appointed chairman of Brussels Airlines. The airline announced this on Monday.

Vranckx, who was previously CEO of Brussels Airlines, has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of SN Airholding, the holding company of Brussels Airlines that is fully owned by the German aviation group Lufthansa. He succeeds Christina Foerster in that position. The German, also a former CEO of the airline, is leaving Lufthansa.

Dieter Vranckx has already had a long career within the Lufthansa Group. He was active at Brussels Airlines from 2018 to 2021, first as financial director and later as CEO. Afterwards he became CEO at Swiss, another company of the Lufthansa Group. Today he exchanged that role for that of commercial director of the Lufthansa Group.
