The legendary DeLorean is coming back after 40 years with electricity

The British company Electrogenic, which moreć has been offering conversion kits for turning classic cars into electric ones for years, it can boast of the latest model it has made, which is the legendary DeLorean DMC-12, which is no longer produced. more than 40 years, but is still recognizable as a legend from the film series Back to the Future.

Those who decide to “jump” from the gasoline past with their DeLorean into the electrified future will receive a 160 kW electric motor in the package, which will cut the acceleration time of the iconic car in half, so it will 0 to 100 km/h accelerate in 5 seconds.

Converting a classic to an electric DMC-12 is non-invasive, without cutting, modifying the chassis or similar operations, but is “plug and play” and thus completely reversible, in case the owner changes his mind sometime later. The addition of new technologies only adds 40 kilograms to the original weight of the vehicle.

A set with installation costs between 77,000 and 100,000 euros. Of course, it is not recommended to connect it to lightning, as Doc did in the movie.
