Samsung announces Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 laptop with Copilot+ and Vision Booster visibility enhancement technology

Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, the first in its new family of laptops, which comes with Copilot+ and incorporates an Intel Core Ultra processor (Series 2), as well as technology to improve visibility Vision Booster.

The firm has clarified that it is the “most powerful” computer it has manufactured to date and that it will offer “even more cutting-edge” AI experiences to users who “want to improve and simplify their daily tasks,” in the words of EVP & Head of New Computing R&D Team, Mobile eXperience Business, Hark-Sang Kim.

This will be possible, among other reasons, because it incorporates the new Intel Core Ultra processors, which offer performance improvements to provide “next-level computing power” with a 47 TOPS NPU and 300+ third-party apps for enhanced AI experiences.

The Dynamic AMOLED 2X multi-touch display comes with Vision Booster technology, which improves outdoor visibility and reduces glare. In addition, to promote a cinematic experience, it has a 3K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

As for battery life, Samsung has indicated that it can last up to 25 hours for video playback and that it comes with super-fast charging to provide “an extra boost for greater productivity.”

Other of the most notable features of the device is its compatibility with Dolby Atmos, which incorporates a 38 mm woofer for richer, deeper bass sounds or a adaptive touch pad palm rejection. Thanks to it, accidental clicks are avoided.

The South Korean firm has also said that, in addition to Copilot+, the Galaxy AI ecosystem offers other functionalities based on this technology, such as Google’s ‘Surround to Search’, Live Translate or the chat and meeting transcription assistant.

Like other computers that will incorporate the new Intel chips, the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 will be available in gray and silver in select markets including Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States starting on September 24, 2024.
