Israelis to pay £10 entry fee to UK from January 8

The UK Government has announced that from 8 January 2025, Exit Tax Assessment (ETA) will be introduced for travellers arriving from countries with which the UK has a visa-free regime.

From now on, Israeli passport holders will have to register a few days before flying to the UK and pay £10 for it. The registration will be issued within three days and will be valid for two years.

Registration requests can be submitted from November 27.

It should be stressed that registration is also required for those flying via the UK to other countries.

It should be noted that Israel will introduce preliminary screening for tourists from visa-free countries from January 1, 2025, and for citizens of Germany and the United States it has been in effect since last summer.

The European Union plans to introduce a similar practice by 2025.
