Intel Israel to Stop Paying Employees’ Phone Bills

Intel Israel has notified employees of its intention to stop paying for mobile phones and phone bills for anyone who does not need them to perform their job duties.

Marketing, legal and IT workers will continue to receive subsidies for their phone bills.

The move is another cost-cutting measure.

Recall that the company previously announced the termination of the car leasing program for employees and the closure of the Intel Ignite startup accelerator.

Israel will also be affected by the 15,000-employee layoff program announced by parent corporation Intel, but the extent of the layoffs at Intel Israel will likely not be known until after the holidays.
