The Federal Air Transport Agency has softened the restrictions imposed on October 1 on flights of Russian airlines to Israel, Iran and Iraq. At the same time, pilots are advised to exercise increased vigilance in the airspace of these countries and choose alternative routes.
“On October 2, due to the threat to flight safety, the agency recommends that Russian operators operate flights to/from airports in Israel and Iran, as well as flights in the airspace of Israel, Iran and Iraq from 15:30 to 19:00 Moscow time. On October 3, flights are recommended in the period from 09:00 to 19:00 Moscow time,” the department said.
The day before, in connection with the massive Iranian missile attack on the Jewish state and the closure of airspace by Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Israel, the Federal Air Transport Agency recommended that Russian companies refrain from flying to these states.
