The Artisanat C’Chartres trade fair opens its doors in the presence of Guillaume Kasbarian, Minister of the Civil Service

This is the unmissable craft event in Centre-Val de Loire. For this thirtieth edition, the Artisanales de Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) are transformed and become the Artisanat C’Chartres. In 29 years of annual editions, 2 million visitors have walked the aisles of this hive of manual labor know-how. Guillaume Kasbarian, new Minister of the Civil Service, inaugurated the show this Thursday, October 3, 2024.

“It’s a very beautiful format, the setting is magnificent and we have craftsmen around us with real know-how,” he comments by way of introduction. Between the aisles, he takes notes. “I have just visited a stand of the Chamber of Trades which says it simplifies and secures my procedures. We’re on topic,” laughs the man who will present a bill to the Senate in October on the simplification of procedures.

L’Eurélien beat his colleague Françoise Gatel, Minister Delegate in charge of Rural Affairs, Commerce and Crafts. The former senator from Ille-et-Vilaine will visit the event this Friday, October 4. She will in turn come across, in the 10,000m² of the Illiade, the brand new exhibition center in Chartres, the 500 exhibitors, but also 1,000 apprentices who bring to life the actions of 250 professions.

Artisan demonstrations in all aisles

The desire of Chartres Métropole Événements, which succeeds the Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat Centre-Val de Loire to organize this annual event, is to offer a new face to the show by emphasizing the demonstrations, which were a little lost in recent years. “Our major objective is to bring living craftsmanship back to the heart of this show. It’s going back to the fundamentals of Artisanales de Chartres. The demonstration must be highlighted. The visitor must see the craftsman in action, discover professions and not just on brochures,” insists Karine Dorange, CEO of C’Chartres Événements.

Practical: the Artisanat C’Chartres trade fair is open this Friday October 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., this Saturday 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and this Sunday 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the L exhibition center ‘Illiad of Chartres. FREE ENTRANCE.
