Sheinbaum encourages passenger trains to be built in Mexico

In order to promote the project to expand the railway tracks for passengers by 3 thousand kilometers, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo met with representatives of three of the main companies dedicated to the manufacture of trains.

Yesterday morning, the federal president detailed that on Thursday she had a private meeting with executives from Alstom, Siemens and Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF).

At the meeting, the plans to manufacture the trains that will be used in the government’s railway projects were analyzed, which aims to reach 3 thousand kilometers to different parts of the country, for which 80 convoys are required.

He explained that the interest of his administration is that these trains are manufactured in national territory in order to strengthen the railway industry, and thereby generate jobs in our country.

On the other hand, Sheinbaum Pardo indicated that he will continue the economic scheme of his predecessor, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, based on the internal strengthening of the country’s economy.

Mexico’s economy is good and was achieved with Mexican humanism, we are going to continue with internal strengthening and we will present the economic package in November to the Congress of the Union. The head of the Executive indicated that part of her financial strategy for next year will be to analyze improvements in various collection systems.

He announced that in a couple of weeks the head of the Ministry of Finance, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, will come in the morning to explain the budget package for 2025.

Next year we are proposing to reduce the public deficit and improve collection schemes, which have nothing to do with tax reform, but rather improvements in customs, the SAT and other actions to further increase income; In addition, there will be no tax forgiveness or tax evasionsaid the president.

He ratified that he will sign an agreement with food and corn flour producers, as well as with representatives of self-service stores to keep the price of the basic basket stable, which in the last six-year term was valued at a maximum of just over thousand pesos.

He added that next week he will meet with representatives of the business sector to define agreements in order to strengthen private investment in the country and the so-called relocation.

The head of the Ministry of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard; and the coordinator of the government’s Business Council, Altagracia Gómez, are working to have these agreements with businessmen, he noted.
