Austria: 29 of the 49 branches will be continued

The reporting and audit meeting in the insolvency proceedings of Deco-Kette Deport Handels GmbH (349 employees) is taking place today. At the beginning of September, Masseverwaterin concluded a purchase agreement with the newly founded Gries Deco GmbH and the German Gries Deco Company GmbH led by Christian Gries. The latter company is the previous sole shareholder of the insolvent Depot Handels GmbH.

Gries Deco takes over the merchandise and 29 of the 49 branches. The Gries Deco Company takes over the operating and office equipment of the branches taken over.

A total of 113 employment relationships were terminated; the remaining 236 employees are to be employed by Gries Deco GmbH.

When the bankruptcy was opened, the liabilities were stated at 15.849 million euros, of which 8.132 million euros were attributable to affiliated companies. So far, only 1.352 million euros in claims have been registered.
