After an initial investment of US$ 4.5 million, the new headquarters of Semtraco, the largest agricultural machinery dealership – which represents Case IH – in Latin America, was inaugurated, which was designed under the concept of New Gen Partners.

“We planned this dealership of these dimensions, thinking about the client. Today, machines, tractors and sprayers are getting bigger and bigger, so we need spaces to be able to work on better services. Semtraco is projecting itself into other areas that were not there and we need more space,” he remarked. Javier Nebbia president of Semtraco, during the inauguration that brought together almost 2000 people, among which the presence of Scott Harris Global President of Case IH, who arrived in Argentina for the first time.

In more than 5,000 square meters, the new dealership integrates workshop and service areas, a spare parts warehouse, an exhibition yard with the entire range of products, such as harvesters, tractors and sprayers, as well as internal and external training rooms, a bar and a nursery. .

As highlights, the new home of Semtraco It has its own Connect Room, with 10 connected screens, to monitor, diagnose and repair customer machines in real time. And the workshop, which has 2,750 square meters, has the capacity to service 33 machines at the same time.

“The current dealership was already too small for us and our main objective was to continue growing. Therefore, we chose this location convinced that it is a strategic point. When we move to the route, not only can the dealership be seen from different places and distances, but We can also show off our different spaces according to the design criteria,” added Carolina Nebbia, administrative manager of Semtraco, and Javier’s daughter.

Semtraco has its headquarters in Monte Maíz and two branches also in the province: one in Canals and another branch in the city of Córdoba. 130 people work at Semtraco and The average age is 31 years. “We are betting on the future and youth. Semtraco began in 1989, when Hugo O. Nebbia, Javier’s father, created the Agrointegral firm in the town of Monte Maíz dedicated to the sale of seeders, plows, discs, disc harrows, trailers, and other agricultural implements necessary to work the fields. . Then, after dissolving the firm and selling different brands, Semtraco was born in 2012, under the leadership of Javier. And in 2013 it began marketing Case IH equipment.

This year, contrary to what is happening in the agricultural machinery industry, for the firm it is positive. “We started a year with uncertainties but it developed well with the exhibitions (Expoagro and Agroactiva) and now we are going through a year that surprised us for the better. It is a very good year for Semtraco“.

According to Javier, the brand’s market share has been growing and if he compares this cycle with last year or other years, sales have grown.

“We have a very important market share. We are at 27% in combines and around 18% in tractors. We have a very prominent participation in Case IH,” he indicated. In 2023, Semtraco was the number 1 Case IH dealer in Argentina,

Sustainability

The new facilities use self-sustaining technology, with large spaces, natural luminosity and permeability, where 100% of the energy consumption is through photovoltaic panels and overhead lighting, reducing artificial lighting by 80% during the day. There are 90 panels that supply 100 kW⋅h (8 hours a day).

The storage of rainwater and recirculation of gray water is used for park irrigation and washing of facilities and machinery. In addition, it has a water reservoir with a capacity of 60,000 liters to supply any unforeseen event.
