Confindustria against Stellantis, Orsini: "Are you asking for other incentives? It’s madness"

“We need productions in Italy to be maintained. Asking for further incentives honestly seemed crazy to me.” The president of Confindustria Emanuele Orsini said this on the sidelines of the Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs conference in Capri.
“We need serious industrial plans, companies that are serious in the territory and that obviously remain to build their products in our country”, added Orsini.

Criticism of Stellantis also came from the government. The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, the day after the hearing in the Chamber, said “he should be ashamed and apologize”.

“The automotive sector is in crisis also through his fault. The CEO and management of Stellantis should apologize to the workers, engineers, technicians, Italians and the history of Italian cars. He is no longer in a position to ask for nothing for how they have mismanaged and poorly administered a historic Italian company”, he concluded.
