The Nagel Commission recommended the urgent purchase of anti-missiles, armored personnel carriers and loitering ammunition

The Defense Budget and Force Development Review Commission, led by Brigadier General (ret.) Professor Nagel, has submitted interim recommendations to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The request for urgent submission of interim recommendations is due to the need to include them in the draft state budget for 2025 in order to have time to implement American military assistance.

Recommendations include the massive purchase of interceptor missiles for the Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Hetz missile defense systems, the expansion of the purchase of Israeli-made loitering ammunition, and an urgent order from the United States for a large batch of several hundred armored personnel carriers.

Another point of recommendations is a significant expansion of the staff of the department of rehabilitation of wounded people and work with families in the Ministry of Defense.
