We dialogue with the business community of Mexico and the United States. We resolved doubts and established working groups, in which Sener will actively participate to address key issues in the energy sector, with the purpose of promoting actions that generate greater well-being for all, in addition to promoting the conditions for attracting investment and development
he indicated.
The above occurs after Katherine Tai, United States trade representative, expressed that there is wide concern
for the reform of the Judiciary in Mexico, due to a possible impact on companies in the neighboring country to the north.
The two trading partners maintain an energy dispute within the framework of the T-MEC, which has not advanced towards a dispute resolution panel. This situation was generated after the previous six-year term sought to promote changes in the sector, although several of these were stopped through amparo lawsuits filed by foreign electricity generation firms.
It should be noted that the request for energy consultations was made in July 2022, but up to now it is unknown what happened.
