Next real estate developer goes bankrupt for millions

According to Creditreform, the liabilities should amount to 94.1 million euros.

Bankruptcy proceedings were opened today, Tuesday, at the Vienna Commercial Court over the assets of real estate zampano Lukas Neugebauer, born in 1992. The creditor protection associations Creditreform, KSV1870 and AKV confirm this to the KURIER. According to bankruptcy judge Christa Puschmann, two creditors have submitted the applications.

According to Creditreform, the liabilities should amount to 94.1 million euros. “More precise information about the cause of the insolvency is currently not available,” it continues.

Lukas Neugebauer is the managing director of 32 real estate and project development companies as well as a shareholder in the following companies: FARO Immobilien GmbH, 1010 Vienna (share: 100%), FSS7 Facility Management GmbH, 1010 Vienna (share: 10%), LSNN Immobilienimmobilien GmbH, 1060 Vienna (share : 50%), NL Venture Capital GmbH, 1060 Vienna (share: 100%) and WBO Bau- und Baumanagement GmbH, 1010 Vienna (share: 100%).

There are reports in numerous media and on the Internet about Lukas Neugebauer’s allegedly dubious business behavior. In one report it is referred to as “Mini-Benko”. Public prosecutor’s investigations are also said to be ongoing.

As far as bankruptcy is concerned, there is no reliable information yet. “The current status of the procedure does not allow for a serious forecast about the expected quota,” says Creditreform.

The renowned lawyer and restructuring expert Matthias Schmidt was appointed as insolvency administrator. Creditors can register their claims until December 30, 2024.
