Harvard is missing 1 million in donations

In the 2023-2024 academic year, Harvard University received $896 million in donations from donors, $151 million (14%) less than in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Harvard’s endowment fund suffered the most, with donations down by a third.

It should be noted that endowments account for about 45% of the university’s annual budget, making them critical to its functioning, despite the fact that Harvard is the richest institution in the world with assets of $53 billion.

Let us recall that many influential Harvard alumni announced the cessation of donations after the university’s leadership was unable to cope with a wave of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel protests.
