Heavier paychecks for 1.3 million more employees

The Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti claims the extension from 35 to 40 thousand euros of the tax wedge cut, with an expanded audience of 1.3 million employees, while the majority continues to discuss some measures contained in the maneuver, which see different sensitivities, with Forza Italia asking for additional reflection on the possible tpaid to the salaries of managers of institutions and foundations who receive state contributions.

What’s in the maneuver

There are two most awaited points in the text of the maneuver whose filing is awaited: lcompliant with banks and that on the salaries of PA managers. The budget law, worth around 30 billion gross, was set by the government to help the medium-low incomes of employees and pensioners and to provide a stimulus against the demographic winter. To do this, it makes structural, at least for the next 5 years, the cutting of the tax wedge for incomes up to 35 thousand euros and the reduction to 3 Irpef rates. These two measures alone cost 15 billion euros. The resources will come, among other things, from cuts in ministerial spending – in the order of an average of 5% of the budget – amounting to over 2 billion euros.

And then from the contribution of banks and insurance companies, for 3.5 billion euros. From the review of tax expenditures, however, around one billion should arrive.
