One of the largest AI software companies in Europe is being built in Vienna

Both companies are pioneers in software solutions for so-called Knowledge graphs which structure and link large amounts of data sensibly.

ChatGPT & Co. have made it clear to companies how important data quality is. Because many companies would lack AI-capable data. Knowledge graphs make it possible to understand information in context. “Fusion at eye level”

The two companies have been working together for a long time. “We have technologies that complement each other,” says Blumauer. Over 100 companies and organizations worldwide are already using them as a bundle.

It was obvious to think about a merger, says Blumauer. A larger organization is better able to meet the growing needs of customers. There have already been consolidations on the market. For example, Samsung took over a competitor last year.

Blumauer speaks of a merger on equal terms. The main locations are in Wien, New York and Sofia. Graphwise is also represented in London, Boston and Baselbecause the company’s solutions are also used extensively in the pharmaceutical sector.

Ontotext and Semantic Web Company count together 200 employees75 of which come from the Viennese company. According to Blumauer, the combined sales are in the high double-digit million range.

Exponential growth

According to Blumauer, the joint venture’s growth prospects are bright. A plus of is expected 50 percent yearly. The AI ​​boom has given the solutions a boost: “Before we grew linearly, now the growth is exponential,” says Blumauer.

International customers
