El Al has canceled flights to and from Moscow “due to operational difficulties”

El Al airlines canceled a number of flights from Moscow to Israel and from Israel to Moscow for several days in advance (until 7.11.24), notifying passengers of the canceled flights in some cases less than a day before departure.

On the Ben Gurion airport website, the nearest Moscow flights are indicated as canceled or “not final”, the following ones appear as scheduled, however, El Al claims that the flights have been canceled, and the departure table on the airport website is not yet available contains correct information.

Having reached the customer service department, passengers received an offer to exchange their tickets for canceled flights on other days – however, the closest departure date turned out to be January 1. The company promises to return the money paid for tickets within the time limits provided by law.

Some passengers chose to buy tickets on other airlines, but the change was much less convenient for most customers.

In response to a request from Newsru.co.il, a representative of El Al airline said: “Due to operational difficulties, El Al was forced to cancel some Moscow-Tel Aviv flights.” Passengers whose flights are canceled received and receive appropriate messages, they will be allowed to choose any of the alternative flight options that suit them, in addition to the ones they are entitled to by law.”
