El Al has stopped selling tickets for Moscow-Tel Aviv flights until the end of 2024, and passengers are reporting that their flights for mid-November have also been cancelled. This was reported on Tuesday, October 29, by the Aviation News Telegram channel.
Let us remind you that we previously reported the cancellation of El Al flights from Moscow to Israel and from Israel to Moscow until November 7. The airline did not officially publish the dates of the canceled flights, indicating that “some flights have been cancelled” and citing “operational difficulties” as the reason.
A representative of El Al in a conversation with the editors of Newsru.co.il said: “Passengers whose flights are canceled have received and will receive the corresponding messages; they will be allowed to choose any of the alternative flight options that suit them, in addition to what they are entitled to by law.” An official letter from the Moscow representative office of El Alya published by the Aviation News channel states that tickets can be returned due to flight cancellations and a full refund can be obtained.
The author of the Aviation News channel recalls that the Russian national airline Aeroflot also does not fly to Israel: it is possible that “operational difficulties” are related specifically to the parity rules.
