Berkshire Hathaway: The mountain of cash at a peak, the stock Buffett continues to sell

Today (Saturday) the holding company published Berkshire Hathaway of billionaire Warren Buffett’s third quarter reports of the year.

Breakshare reported revenues of $26.3 billion in the quarter. The company’s operating income fell this quarter by about 6% to 10.1 billion dollars, compared to the 10.8 billion recorded in the same period last year.

It was also reported that the holding company did not carry out a buyback (own purchase of shares) this quarter, compared to the previous two quarters this year, in which it carried out a repurchase of shares worth $345 million in the second quarter, and $2.6 billion in the first quarter.

Selling another 25% of Apple shares

As part of the company’s reports, it was reported that Warren Buffett sold a respectable share of shares this quarter dark in his possession This is the fourth quarter in a row that Buffett has disposed of shares of the technology giant, which is still his largest holding.

In the year since the third quarter of 2023, Buffett has sold 62% of the Apple shares he owned.

Buffett leaves most of the money from the sale of shares liquid. Thus, its mountain of cash grew to $325.2 billion in the last quarter – an all-time record for the company.

Berkshire shares have jumped by about 25% since the beginning of the year, thus overtaking the S&P 500 index, which rose by only 20.7% in the same period.

In addition, the market value of the holding company soared to a record, surpassing the trillion dollar mark for the quarter.
