Bolt launches ‘premium’ Tesla fleet in Brussels Capital Region (Brussels)

The mobility platform Bolt launched a ‘premium’ Tesla fleet in the Brussels Capital Region on Monday, accounting for a total of thirty bright green Tesla cars. BRUZZ writes this and is confirmed by Bolt.

“We are excited to introduce more electric vehicles to our platform in Brussels,” said Paddy Patridge, Director of Ride-hailing at the car-sharing company. Through the initiative, “we are reducing the barriers that prevent many fleet owners from choosing electric vehicles.”

The main obstacle for Bolt drivers is the higher purchase cost of an electric car, as opposed to cars with a combustion engine. “By addressing these issues through these initiatives, Bolt aims to ease the transition for fleet owners and increase the share of electric vehicles.” The company also points out that the presence of the green electric cars in Brussels should “encourage all residents to opt for low-emission means of transport”.

At the same time, the company also wants to become greener and more sustainable; Bolt wants to become completely climate neutral by 2040. The initiative is part of the launch of a premium fleet in ten major cities in Europe, including Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm and Tallinn.
