Tire at Audi Brussels has been idle for more than two weeks

Virtually no cars have been made at Audi Brussels for more than two weeks now. The reason is a strike at a parts supplier.

The impending closure of the Brussels car factory will also result in job losses among suppliers. There is no social plan at supplier Imperial Logistics. The staff has stopped working there. As a result, Audi Brussels cannot make cars.

This is also the case on Friday, spokesperson Peter D’hoore confirms. This meant that work was only done on Monday morning this week. Last week the tire at Audi Brussels was down all week, and there was also no production on the Thursday and Friday before that.

It is not immediately clear how many cars were not built as a result.
