Supermarket chain Carrefour is recalling the ‘soup chicken’ product on Thursday because of possible contamination with salmonella.
This concerns products with the expiry date of 13/11/2024 and 14/11/2024, with the EAN code 2726224000000. Customers are asked not to consume the product and to return it to the point of sale, where they will receive a refund.
A salmonella infection can cause abdominal cramps, fever and diarrhea. Symptoms usually occur 12 to 72 hours after infection.
On Wednesday, supermarket chain Delhaize also recalled ‘soup chicken’ from the Delhaize brand because there was a possible contamination with salmonella, possibly from the same producer.
