The price of stock electricity will rise on Thursday morning

Exchange electricity with value added tax price will rise on Thursday from seven in the morning to more than ten cents per kilowatt-hour after a rather affordable night. The most expensive electricity is on Thursday between nine and eleven, when the price of electricity approaches fifteen cents per kilowatt hour.

Electricity production is affected by the fact that among Finland’s nuclear power plants, Loviisa’s second reactor and Olkiluoto’s third reactor are suffering from disturbances. Both are expected to return to production on Thursday.

Power of Industry (TVO) told in its announcement on Wednesday that the electricity production of Olkiluoto 3 can be resumed already on Thursday, but the plant will be run at a lower power level until Friday.

On the other hand, wind power production is anticipated to be at a high level until Thursday afternoon.
