Israel imposes sanctions against entities that finance Hezbollah

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, based on the recommendation of the headquarters for combating the financing of terror, signed a decree imposing sanctions against 24 main clients of the Hezbollah-owned Al-Qard al-Hasan association.

The association itself, which directly funds Hezbollah’s activities, was declared a terrorist organization a month ago by a decree of previous Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

According to the head of the headquarters for combating the financing of terror, lawyer Paul Lands, “the sanctions imposed today by the Secretary of Defense will help in identifying and preventing the international financial activities of these individuals and related entities.”
