The US Department of Justice asked the court to force Google to sell Chrome, limit Android

The US Department of Justice and a group of US states have filed a list of antitrust moves against Google in federal court to reduce its dominance in the online advertising market.

One of the main demands, as expected, is to force Google to sell the Chrome Internet browser.

The authorities also asked the court to give Google a choice: either sell the operating system for Android smartphones or prohibit the mandatory installation of Google services on phones using Android.

Another item on the list would prohibit Google from entering into paid agreements with Apple and other companies to make Google’s search engine the default on smartphones and browsers.

In addition, the Ministry of Justice wants to force Google to give up any shares in companies operating in the field of artificial intelligence.

Google must submit a counterproposal to the court by December 20.
